What area of your life would you like to see TRANSFORMED? Spiritual? Mental? Relational?
The world has all kinds of answers for how to deal with life’s struggles, but often the “solutions” leave us feeling empty and disappointed. But God’s Word is full of timeless truths and promises that never let us down.
Imagine what your life could look like if you focused each month on growing different areas of your life God’s way?
That’s the journey we’re taking this fall at Hillside in Gillett and Pound. We’re kicking off on Sunday, September 26th, encouraging people once again to come Back to Church in person, as we explore how God wants to TRANSFORM seven different areas of our lives. Following the service in Gillett, will be our GroupLink in the Gym, where you can find a group near you or start a group. Free appetizers will be served.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but BE TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind.”
Romans 12:2
That’s our goal during the next year – to experience greater growth in each of these seven areas as we start thinking God’s way about them, starting with our spiritual health in October.
While we will introduce each topic during one Sunday each month, the main content you need to experience TRANSFORMATION will be found exclusively in our small group Bible studies. These groups meet once a month in someone’s home to watch a video (DVD) teaching from God’s Word and discuss how to apply it, as well as take time to encourage and pray with each other. There’s also a workbook you’ll use in your small group time that includes seven personal devotions for each topic.
Some of the greatest moments of growth I’ve experienced personally, and the greatest friendships I’ve ever developed, have been in the context of small group Bible studies. There you can be yourself, get to know others better, and hear others’ insights into God’s Word.
Pray about hosting a group this year. Anyone can be a HOST if you have a
Heart for people,
Open up your home,
Serve something to drink, and
Turn on the DVD player – it’s that simple!
Being part of a small group not only helps you grow, but you help others, and it’s a great way to reach out to neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends who don’t know Jesus personally yet.
I hope you’ll join us on this journey together, and that by this time next year, your life won’t be the same as you experience God’s TRANSFORMATIONAL power!
