It’s time to come back to church!
It’s time to experience God’s fresh touch on your life. The Bible tells us we all need ENCOURAGEMENT!
Be encouraged, encourage others, and reconnect on August 1st at both our Gillett and Pound campuses at 10:00 AM! A church picnic will follow the service at both locations.
New Staff
We will welcome two new staff members that Sunday. Dean Hinther is joining us as the Pound Campus Pastor. He attended North Central University and received his pastoral ministry license from the Assemblies of God. He will preach monthly, hold office hours, and lead the ministry and outreaches. Rev. Paul Carlson will be installing Pastor Dean that day in Pound.
Pastor Paul is also joining us as a Pastor Emeritus. Emeritus is a Latin word referring to “one who has earned his discharge by faithful service.” It’s an expression of 1 Timothy 5:17, honoring those who have preached and led faithfully. He will further the ministry at Hillside part-time, preaching monthly, holding office hours, and helping with weddings, funerals, and counseling.
There’s a target on your back.
If you watch any superhero movies like the Avengers, you know that superheroes want to save the day by themselves. Somehow, they find out they need help because the evil is too strong.
Our adversary is much more cunning and dangerous than any fictional character. “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).
How does he do this? By getting you alone. Animals travel in herds for safety and protection. They can fight against a lion better together than on their own.
Some of you have been separated for a while. While technology helps bridge that gap, it’s not a replacement for being with the herd.
We hope you’ll join us for this special Sunday and get reconnected as you experience God’s power, love, and encouragement!
