Your kids and teenagers can build a racing car out of Legos on March 10th and race them against others their age on March 17th at Hillside in Gillett!
This derby is a fun way for kids and teens to come together for a fun project that allows them to express their creativity and challenge themselves to build the best car they can. Plus, they will get to see how others build their cars and how successful (or not) their designs turn out to be.
Kids are welcome to use their own Legos or ones that we have available. If your children want to keep their car, they will need to use their own Legos (the base and wheels you need to use can be purchased from the church for $7). If you use your own Legos, you can glue them together so they don’t fall apart as easily if the car crashes.
Parents are welcome to join us for the derby on March 17th starting at 6:45 p.m. and finishing at 8:00 p.m. at the Hillside Gym in Gillett. The kids will start out in their individual classes like usual, then come together in the gym for a pizza party and the race! (There will be no food served before class like we normally have.) Each child/teen will be able to race their car multiple times. Prizes will be awarded for the winners.
Did you miss the car building day on March 10th? Contact the church office to get the supplies your child needs so they can be ready to go on Racing Day!
